Grandpa Dave’s Children’s Stories

Grandpa Dave

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote a famous poem called The Children’s Hour way back in 1860.

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day’s occupations,
That is known as the Children’s Hour.

As a parent, and now grandparent, I have always considered children to be a wonderful gift from God.

In our world today, where time is in short supply with so many things keeping us busy and distracted, we can so easily find that we forget how important it is that we take a few minutes and spend some quiet time reading to or with our children.

When Covid hit and we were separated from our children and grandchildren, I decided to call them and read stories over the phone. When I ran out of stories, I decided to write my own. I hope you enjoy them. I hope they will be a blessing to you and your family.

The books are free to open and read.
